Dongguan New Shum Kee Paper and Carton Ltd. is a large-scale enterprise specializing in the production of corrugated paper packaging.

The company’s predecessor, Shum Kee Paper Co., Ltd., was founded in 1957 in the Government Resettlement Factory Building in Cheung Sha Wan, Kowloon. In 1961, we constructed our own 4-storey factory building covering 1,000 square meters on Hung To Road, Kwun Tong, Hong Kong, equipped with two NIWA single facers to support business expansion. To accommodate our clients’ business growth in mainland China, we established a factory in Pinghu Town, Shenzhen in 1989, followed by another facility in Changping Town, Dongguan in 1993. Each of these two plants was fitted with two 5-layer corrugated board production lines.

Later, the company’s senior management decided to restructure, raise additional capital and expand operations. We built a brand-new, larger and better-equipped factory covering approximately 50,000 square meters in Yulong Industrial Zone, Tutang, Changping Town, Dongguan. The factory now employs over 400 professionally trained staff, with an annual output value exceeding RMB 300 million. Our key long-term partners include Kyocera, Man Wah, Canon, Tatung, Wong’s Kong Kong, VTech, Brother Industries, Heung Woon, Brilliant Industries and Koba, among others.

We have introduced world-leading German BHS corrugated board production lines, capable of manufacturing single-wall grades (A-flute, B-flute, C-flute) and multi-wall combinations including AB, BC, AA and EB flutes, supporting all custom flute combinations. Our board width ranges from 37 inches to 98 inches, with computerized slitter cutting lengths from 25 inches up to 120 inches and a maximum running speed of 250 meters per minute.

Our printing workshop houses 7 water-based printing machines: 1 water-based pre-print machine supporting 6+1 color printing, with printing lengths of 700–1400 mm, widths of 900–1700 mm and a top printing speed of 300 m/min; plus 6 conventional water-based flexo printers for 1-color, 2-color, 3-color and 4-color slotting jobs.
